A hygienist is out today
If a hygienist quits with no notice, no-shows, or calls in sick today, fill the spot by posting a replacement hygienist shift on Teero for today and keep the patients you can still see. You set a pay range, Teero prices the shift inside that range and never above the top of it, and a W-2 hygienist can claim it.
What to do this morning
| What happened | What to do today |
|---|---|
| Quit with no notice | Post a hygienist shift for the hours still open today. Move the patients you cannot see, and call Teero if the shift is hard to fill. |
| No-show | Confirm who is still booked, then post a hygienist shift for today. A no-show is posted the same way as any other same-day shift. |
| Called in sick | If the day has not started, post a hygienist shift for today. If patients are already in the chair, finish the visits you can and post a shift for the hours still open. |
Post the open hours
Posting can often begin within an hour of signing up, and most offices have their first shift filled within 48 hours. How fast a shift for today is claimed depends on your city, the hours and the pay range. Teero staffs dental hygienists only. Every hygienist is a W-2 employee of Teero; Teero handles payroll, taxes, workers’ compensation and liability coverage. If a shift is hard to fill, call 952-209-9945.
The posting steps, how fast shifts fill, and coverage in all 50 states are on same-day hygienist coverage. For urgent help call 952-209-9945.
How the rate works
You set the pay range. Teero prices each shift inside that range and never above the top of it. On top of the hygienist's pay, you pay a 12% service fee and W-2 employer payroll costs of 8-12%, which vary by state. The all-in cost is about 20-24% above the hourly rate, billed after the shift is worked. Staffing is pay-per-shift: post shifts only when you need coverage and pay only for completed shifts. Hiring a Teero hygienist permanently is free.
Hiring that hygienist onto your own payroll is covered on permanent hire fees.
