## How Working With Teero Works
- Every hygienist is a W-2 employee of Teero; Teero handles payroll, taxes, workers’ compensation and liability coverage. A hygienist is not a 1099 contractor: Teero withholds and remits the taxes.
- Every shift is covered by workers' compensation and professional liability (malpractice) insurance at no cost to the hygienist.
- Using Teero is free for hygienists. No commitment and no minimum number of shifts.
- Shifts are booked in the Teero app. The hygienist browses open shifts, filters by distance, pay rate, day of week and office type, and requests the ones that fit. Teero does not book hygienists onto shifts.
- Offices are asked to answer a request within 24 hours. Instant Book shifts confirm immediately.
- Partial shifts can be requested; the office confirms if it can accommodate the hours.
- Temp and permanent: a hygienist can mark their profile as open to permanent placement. An office can hire a Teero hygienist permanently at any time; for the office a permanent hire is free.
- Office profiles show name, location, photos, software, appointment lengths and reviews from past hygienists. Hygienist reviews of offices are anonymous. Hygienists can block offices.
- Coverage: all 50 US states. A hygienist can pick up shifts in any state where they hold an active, unrestricted dental hygiene license, and can add licenses in the app.

## Pay
- The office sets the pay rate for each shift. The rate shown in the app is the hygienist's pay before tax withholding; Teero charges the office separately.
- Direct deposit every Thursday for shifts worked the previous week (Monday to Sunday), with taxes withheld.
- Instant Pay: after a shift, 50% of earnings is sent within seconds (some banks take until the next business day). The remainder comes on the next payroll so taxes can be withheld.
- Full Shift Guarantee: an office can cancel a confirmed shift free of charge 24 hours or more before the shift; after that, the full scheduled shift is charged and paid to the hygienist.

**Can I see information about the office before I make a request to work there?**
You can see a full, detailed profile of the office before you request including name, location, photos, software, appointment lengths, and reviews from past hygienists.

**Do I have to commit to a certain number of shifts?**
No, we don’t require any type of commitment or minimum number of shifts.

**Do you have jobs or opportunities near me?**
We operate nationwide in all 50 states. We have thousands of offices using our platform across the country.

**Are taxes withheld from my earnings?**
Yes they are. All work through the Teero platform is as a W-2 employee and we handle all the administrative work of withholding and remitting taxes on your behalf.

**What if I get injured on a shift?**
We offer comprehensive professional liability and workers compensation insurance to help in any situations where there may be an injury.

**What if I need to cancel my planned shift?**
If you need to cancel a shift more than 14 days out, you can do so in the app. If the shift is sooner, reach out to our support team and we can guide you through it.

**Is Teero a dental staffing agency?**
Not quite. We help dental hygienists find work but you’re in control of where and when you work directly through the Teero app.

**Can I work as a temp dental hygienist in multiple states through Teero?**
Yes! As long as you have active dental hygiene licenses in multiple states, you can pick up shifts in any state where you're licensed. Simply add your licenses in the app.

**Do I need my own malpractice insurance to work through Teero?**

**What if the office cancels my shift at the last minute?**
If an office cancels within 24 hours of your shift, you’ll be paid for the full scheduled shift. We'll also suggest alternative shifts you can pick up to replace the cancelled one.

**I have applied for a shift, when will it be confirmed?**
We ask offices to respond to shift requests within 24 hours. You can also look for Instant Book shifts which allow you to get immediately confirmed and not need to wait.

**Can I work at multiple offices?**
Of course you can. It’s completely up to you when and where you work.

**How far will I have to travel for shifts?**
That’s up to you! We don’t book you for shifts - you’re in control of where and when you work. You’ll see in the app the full address and distance each office is from you so you can make the right choice for yourself.

**How does Instant Pay work?**
After every shift, you have the option to select Instant Pay. We’ll send 50% of your earnings to you within seconds (some banks take until next business day) and the remainder will be on your next payroll so taxes can be withheld.

**Is Teero for temporary work or full-time jobs?**
Teero works for both temporary and full-time jobs. You can indicate on your profile that you’re open to permanent placement.

**How do I create a Teero account?**
Just download the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and get started. It’s free and easy.

**Do I need to call someone to request a shift?**
No, you do everything with the app. But if you need help, you can message us anytime.

**When will I get paid?**
You’re paid every Thursday for all shifts worked during the previous week (Monday–Sunday), with all taxes withheld.

As a W-2 worker, we’re required by Federal law to complete an I-9 employment eligibility verification. We guide you through it in the app, but if you have additional questions you can read here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9

**What is the onboarding process like?**
It’s pretty simple. Fill out your basic information in the Teero app. After that there is a 10 minute intro call so we can understand your goals and answer questions. We’ll validate your license and then you’ll be free to browse shifts.

**Can I block offices I don't want to work at?**
Yes. If you have a negative experience at an office, you can block them in the app so you won't see their shifts in your feed anymore.

**Is my feedback to offices anonymous?**
Yes. After every shift we’ll ask you to rate the office and optionally provide a written review. That review is anonymous and helps other hygienists understand what it’s like to work there.

**How do I find shifts that fit my needs?**
You select the shifts you want to work in the app. Filter by distance from home, pay rate, day of week, office type, and more to find shifts that match your preferences.

**If I work through Teero is it as a W-2 or 1099 worker?**
All work through the Teero app is as a fully W-2 employee.

**How do I keep track of the hours I work?**
You’ll record your time directly in the Teero app: the time you arrived, the time you left, and any breaks you took.

**Can I get permanently hired by the office I temp or work a shift for?**
You sure can. There’s no restrictions or requirements there - we’d love to help you find your next permanent home.

**Does it cost me money to use Teero?**
No, using Teero is completely free and the pay rate you see in the app is the amount you take home. We charge dental offices separately to make money.
