Dental Hygienist Staffing - Every hygienist is a W-2 employee of Teero; Teero handles payroll, taxes, workers’ compensation and liability coverage. - Price: 12% service fee on the hygienist's pay rate, plus W-2 employer payroll costs (FICA, FUTA, state unemployment, workers' compensation), 8-12% by state: about 20-24% above the pay rate in total. Both are shown before the office confirms a shift. The office sets the pay rate. - Subscription: none. No monthly minimum, no onboarding fee, no contract. The office is charged the day after each shift, by ACH (free) or credit card (3% fee). - Permanent placement is free, for any hygienist, however many shifts they worked first. - Cancelling 24 hours or more before the shift is free. Later than that, the full scheduled shift is charged and paid to the hygienist. - Vetting: 1:1 interviews, license verification and two-way ratings after every shift. Insurance Posting & Aging - Teero posts every insurance payment (EFTs, ERAs, paper checks, virtual credit cards) line by line inside the office's practice management software, every business day, then works the aging report: claims over 30 days, denials, underpayments, secondary claims and appeals. - Works inside Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft and Open Dental. Adjustments follow the office's own write-off rules. EFT and ERA enrollment with every payer that offers it, at no charge. - Price: 2% of insurance collections, with volume discounts; monthly minimum $800. The onboarding fee varies by practice. No contract, no software licence. - Worked example at 2%, before volume discounts: $800 (the minimum) at $30,000 a month in insurance collections; $1,500 at $75,000; $3,000 at $150,000. - Onboarding is a read-only connection to the PMS, a review of write-off rules and payer portal access. Insurance Verification (add-on) - Insurance Verification is sold only as an add-on to Insurance Posting & Aging; it is not sold on its own. - Price: $5 per comprehensive benefits breakdown; eligibility checks free. It falls under the same $800 monthly minimum, so there is no second minimum. No contract. - A breakdown includes category percentages, maximums and deductibles with used amounts, plan policies, code-level coverage with frequencies and history, and waiting periods, plus eligibility re-checks before each appointment. A breakdown is billed only when it is delivered into the PMS. - Teero works a week ahead and writes results into the patient record; no PDFs, no portal. Breakdowns cover 98%+ of procedures.
